On working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov and Nikolai Kiselyov

Gazprom’s Headquarters today has hosted a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Acting Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Nikolai Kiselyov, Administration Head of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.

The meeting addressed issues relative to the implementation of an Agreement for Cooperation between Gazprom and the Administration of the Arkhangelsk Oblast. The parties appreciated the joint work done to gasify the Arkhangelsk Oblast as well as pondered on purported areas of interaction in this direction.

Reference:

Gazprom and the Administration of the Arkhangelsk Oblast entered into the five-year Agreement for Cooperation in October 2004.

In April 2006 Gazprom and the Administration of the Arkhangelsk Oblast signed a synchronized construction schedule for regional gasification facilities.

In accordance with the schedule, the Oblast will see a range of activities aimed at preparing consumers for gas supply by local pipelines currently under construction by Gazprom as stipulated by the Gasification Program for RF Regions over 2005 to 2007.

In 2006 Gazprom intends to build 3 local and 3 distribution gas pipelines in the Oblast.

Natural gas penetration in the Arkhangelsk Oblast accounts for 9 per cent, including 12 per cent in cities, towns and population centers, and 0.4 per cent in rural area).

Over 2006 Gazprom provided the regional consumers with some 1 bcm of gas and roughly the same amount is slated for this year.
