Results of the working meeting between Alexey Miller and Nikolai Kiselev

Today at Gazprom headquarters Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee, held a working meeting with Nikolai Kiselev, Head of Administration, Arkhangelskaya Oblast.

The parties discussed implementation of the Cooperation agreement between Gazprom and Arkhangelskaya Oblast, and the region’s gasification issues in particular. Construction progress of branch gas pipelines to the cities of Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk was also reviewed.

It was noted at the meeting that Arkhangelskaya Oblast consumers are paying in full for the current natural gas supplies.

The five year Cooperation agreement between Gazprom and the administration of Arkhangelskaya Oblast was signed in October, 2004.

In 2004, Gazprom supplied more than 1 bcm of natural gas to Arkhangelskaya Oblast consumers. A similar volume of gas will be supplied this year.

Since 1992, Gazprom and Arkhangelskaya Oblast administration are jointly constructing a 635 km branch gas pipeline to the cities of Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk. Construction of the 0 km – 147.4 km part of the pipeline is completed. Currently the 147.4 km – 374.8 km (Plesetsk spacecraft launch facility) part of the pipeline is under construction. In 2005, Gazprom will invest RUR 1.7 billion in the construction of this natural gas pipeline.

Gazprom’s investment program for 2005 provides for allocating more than RUR 184 million to complete construction of the gas pipeline branch to the town of Yarensk.

As of September 1, 2005, Arkhangelskaya Oblast consumers’ arrears in payments for gas supplies for eight months of this year were reduced by RUR 12 million to approximately RUR 10 million.

The construction of SRTO-Torzhok trunk gas pipeline in Arkhangelskaya Oblast commenced in 2004. The gas pipeline length totals 1600 km, including a 212 km part to be constructed in Arkhangelskaya Oblast.

Currently manufacturing of the Prirazlomnaya ice-resistant fixed offshore platform at Sevmashpredpriyatiye shipyard located in Arkhangelskaya Oblast, and the Arkticheskaya drilling rig at Zvyozdochka shipyard located in the city of Severodvinsk, is in progress.
