The Sravropolskaya compressor station (CS) in the Novoalexadrovsky region of the Stavropol kray (area) putting into operation celebrated today. Alexey Lisin, the Department for Automation, Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Metrology Head, Chief Executive of the Gazprom’s delegation, was present at the event.
Other officials were also seen at the event: Yu. Gontar, Chairman of the State Duma of the Stavropol kray, S. Berezin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry for Industry, Transportation and Communications of the Stavropol kray, V. Zinovyev, Kavkaztransgaz Company Director General, R. Ter-Sarkisov, Vniigaz Director General, members of Kavkaztransgaz Company and other Gazprom’s subsidiaries staff, the Stavropol kray administration and construction companies representatives.
The Stavropolskaya CS is part of the Blue Stream gas pipeline facilities. The CS’s operation enhances reliability and safety of Russian gas deliveries to Turkey. Design throughput is 50 mln cu m /d with 60 MW capacity.

Giprospetsgaz Company was general designer of the project with Stroytransgaz Company, a turn-key subcontractor. Construction phase involved the experts from Vniigaz Research Company, Neftespetsgazstroy Public Corporation, Volgogradstroygaz LLC, Energostroyservice LLC, Gazavtomatika Company, Orgenergogaz subsidiary, Gazkomplektimpex LLC, Elektrogaz subsidiary, Gazpromenergoservice LLC etc.
Stavropolskaya CS is equipped with five aviation engine-driven compressor units Urals, added with gas metering station, gas treatment and refrigeration units, the Simens technological process automated control system.
Stavropolskaya CS’s construction cost is USD 2 billion. Total personnel employed is 141 specialists.
