A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Gazpromís Management Committee Chairman, and Sergey Bogdanchikov, President of NK Rosneft, was held today at Gazprom headquarters.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the cooperation of the companies within the consortium established by Gazprom, NK Rosheft and Surgutneftegaz, pertaining to the development of oil and gas fields and the establishment of the unified gas supply system for East Siberian and Sakha (Yakutiya) Republic consumers.
A. Miller and S. Bogdanchikov also discussed the possibility of the Gazprom-Rosneft joint cooperation in developing Sakhalinís new offshore gas fields as well as the Shtokmanovskoye and Prirazlomnoye fieldsí development plan for 2004.
Gazprom, Rosneft and Surgutneftegaz signed the consortium agreement on December 24, 2003.
Integrated development of East Siberian and (Russian) Far Eastern gas fields, with consideration of the domestic market demand and possible Russian gas export to China and other Asia Pacific Countries, will be the most effective of developing hydrocarbon resources.
