On IGU's Delegation Visit to Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, Ltd. Facilities

On April 23-25, members of the International Gas Union Management Team headed by Ernesto L. Anadon, IGU's President, paid a working visit to the production facilities of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, Ltd. – a largest Gazprom's gas producing subsidiary.

The delegation met with Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, Ltd. management, visited production facilities of Zapolyarnoye oil and gas condensate field to get acquainted with particularities of gas production under Far North conditions. The IGU management also examined the lifestyle and household of the Yamburg National Administrative District native population.

"We could see for ourselves a full-scale work being done by Gazprom to maintain its resource base and to build up its hydrocarbons production in a frontier region with very harsh climate conditions and a sensitive environment. Possessing the adequate high-skilled personnel and technologies, the Company allocates considerable funds to provide the said activity. I am confident that these efforts will contribute to the gas supply security of the European customers. These kinds of operations which require huge upfront investments to explore and develop the gas fields and the necessary infrastructure to bring the gas to the market, show how important it is to enhance the dialogue between the producers and the consumers and between policy makers and industry leaders" – pointed out Ernesto L. Anadon in relation to the visit.
