Today, the Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Nikolay Kiselyev, Governor of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.
The parties addressed the implementation of the Agreement for cooperation, placing a focus on the prospects of the regional gasification.

The Agreement for cooperation and the Accord on gasification between Gazprom and the Arkhangelsk Regional Administration were signed in October 2004 and May 2006, respectively.
In 2006 Gazprom supplied the region with nearly 1 bcm of gas and roughly the same volume is slated for this year.
As of March 1, 2007, the indebtedness of regional consumers for gas delivered is equal to more than RUR 36 mln.
The Arkhangelsk Oblast is currently gasified by 9.7 per cent including 12.5 per cent in cities and towns, and 2 per cent in the rural area. The average rates in Russia are at 54 per cent, 61 per cent, 36 per cent, respectively.
Pursuant to the Regional Gasification Program of the Russian Federation over 2005 to 2007, in 2006 Gazprom committed RUR 558 mln for the Arkhangelsk gasification. Funds were spent to construct 6 gasification facilities. In 2007 Gazprom plans to commit RUR 496 mln for construction of 3 gasification facilities.
