During an annual European quality week which took place in November, JSC GAZ summed up some results of the plant activity in terms of product quality improvement.
Reforms aimed at the improvement of product quality are carried out due to introduction of the JSC GAZ Production System based on the experience of the leading automobile companies. Manufacturing processes were reformed and productive efficiency in all divisions of the plant was increased.

While gear box production volume increased, loss from defective articles was reduced by 30.6% this year; the number of claims was reduced by 30.5%.

For the last two years the output in foundry has increased by 36.7%, the cost price has reduced by 12%.

Technological development and optimization measures during the nine months of 2004 allowed to save 67.5 million rubles.

In order to share positive experience in introduction of the JSC GAZ Production System with the RusPromAvto plants and supplier factories, 226 managers and specialists were trained.
