For the nine months of 2004 JSC GAZ increased production of Volga passenger cars by 22.7%, this of commercial vehicles and trucks by 6.3%

According to the latest information, for the nine months of 2004 195,659 vehicles and autokits were manufactured at JSC GAZ (member of RusPromAvto Holding) assembly lines which is by 19,891 (11.3%) units more than in the same period of 2003. Volume of production, for the nine months of the current year, in comparable prices with the previous year increased by 12.6% and amounted to 36 billion 995 million 396 thousand rubles.
For the nine months of 2004 180,094 vehicles were assembled: 56,751 passenger cars, 96,951 commercial vehicles and trucks and 26,392 minibuses. Compared to the same period of the previous year, production of GAZ vehicles increased by 13,295 (8%) units, including by 10,487 (22.7%) - passenger cars, by 5,711 (6.3%) - commercial vehicles and trucks. Besides, 8,645 vehicles were forwarded to small batch production division of JSC GAZ.
6,920 autokits were supplied by GAZ to assembly automobile plants.
JSC GAZ manufactured spare parts for the amount of 2 billion 215 million 44 thousand rubles. In comparison to 2003, volume of production increased by 33.2% in comparable prices.

According to the JSC GAZ business plan for production of vehicles and autokits, 16,025 units were to be manufactured in October 2004, which was completely fulfilled.
Besides, according to the business plan, 15,195 vehicles were manufactured at JSC GAZ assemble lines in October: 4,566 - passenger cars, 7,052 commercial vehicles and trucks, 3,577 - minibuses. 830 autokits were supplied by GAZ to assembly plants. JSC GAZ manufactured spare parts for the amount of 240 million 71 thousand rubles.
Due to the preproduction for assembly of medium truck GAZ-3310 "Valdai", business plan for October 2004 was accepted considering the reduction of working days from 21 to 17. During this time, repair and setup of the equipment manufacturing vehicles of the current model range were also carried out.
