The OJSC FETEC increased assembled capacity of exchanges of Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur

FETEC increased assembled capacity of Khabarovsk exchanges by 17,376 numbers on December 26, 2003. This resulted from installation of Siemens EWSD electronic exchanges in some city areas such as Lermontova St. (3,904 numbers), Krasnorechenskaya St., (4,960 numbers), Berezovka village (3,456 numbers), Khabarovsk central ATX-30 was expanded by 3,456 numbers.

The OJSC FETEC put into operation Siemens EWSD switching facilities with total capacity of 20,121 numbers in Komsomolsk-on-Amur on December 29, 2003. as a result outdated tetragonal ATX-3 and ATX-4 were replaced. Residents of Komsomolsk-on-Amur from Mira Prospect, Shikhanova, Pervostroiteley streets, Tayozhny village, Amurstal, Mendeleeva and Parus will have access to telephone communication of improved quality as well as to a wide range of additional communication services.

Assembled capacity of Komsomolsk-on-Amur city telephone network increased by 4,921 numbers. Figures of putting into operation number capacity of Komsomolsk-on-Amur city exchange almost twice increased figures of 2002. Komsomolsk-on-Amur number capacity in 2002 was 11,240 as compared to 20,121 numbers of 2003. In total number capacity of Khabarovsk region in 003 was 43,813 numbers with growth of 18,613 numbers.

Valery Romanov, Director of Khabarovsk branch of the OJSC FETEC says that putting into operation new exchange capacities in Khabarovsk and Komsamollsk-on-Amur cities will significantly reduce waiting list for telephone installation in these cities. Valery Romanov emphasized plans of Khabarovsk branch to increase city exchanges’ capacity in 2004 on the basis of Siemens EWSD equipment in volume of 8,000 numbers in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and 30,000 numbers in Khabarovsk.
