Moscow, 3 August 2005. Today, a regular meeting of the Operational Headquarters for construction of the Bureyskaya HPP was held in the settlement of Talakan, Amurskaya Region. The HQ meeting was chaired by Sergey Dubinin, member of the Management Board and Financial Director of RAO "UES of Russia", and Vyacheslav Sinyugin, member of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" and Chairman of the Management Board of OAO "HydroWGC".

The meeting reviewed the progress made in the construction of the power plant. The meeting participants noted that the works at the Bureyskaya HPP are moving at a high pace: the first two hydropower units at the power plant were put into operation in July and November 2003, and hydropower unit 3 in November 2004; To date, 3 mln cub.m of concrete have been laid into the plant's dam out of the total of 3.5 mln cub.m needed to erect the dam. Preparation of the reservoir inundation area of the Bureyskaya HPP is carried out in strictly accordance with the schedule.

After the meeting, Vyachslav Sinyugin and Sergey Dubinin had talks with Amurskaya Region Governor Leonid Korotkov to discuss the potential of the project to complete the Bureyskaya HPP, and the prospects of cooperation between the hydrogeneration company and the regional administration.
