Moscow. 24 November 2005. Today, the Awards Jury chaired by member of the Management Board, Financial Director of RAO "UES of Russia" Sergey Dubinin, named the winners of the annual "Best Accountant in Energy Industry" Awards. The event was held as part of the All-Russian Contest, "Best Accountant of Russia Awards", organized by the Institute of Professional Accountants of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

RAO "UES of Russia" traditionally holds the annual "Best Accountant in Energy Industry" Contest among the accounting staff of energy enterprises of RAO "UES of Russia". This year, Vitaly Dergachev (OAO "Chelyabenergo") and Svetlana Kuznetsova (OAO "Buryatenergo") became winners of the Awards. Besides, eleven more people were named laureates of the contest, nine of which were employees of OAO "Buryatenergo".

There were 43 nominees participating in the contest, which was held in several rounds. The winners were determined based on the number of points scored in each of the rounds. The time spent on the tests by the contestants was also taken into consideration. The Awards Jury noted the significant improvement in the professional level of the energy companies' accounting staff.

The winners and laureates of the "Best Accountant in Energy Industry 2005" Contest will be awarded diplomas and valuable prizes during the event to mark the Energy Industry Worker's day in late December.
