Moscow, 18 December 2003. Today, RAO "UES of Russia" has put into pilot operation the renovated turbine units – unit No. 6 at Artemovskaya CHPP and unit No. 5 at Yuzhnokuzbasskaya TPP.
After the launch of the 100 MW turbine unit at Artemovskaya CHPP, the power plant's installed capacity increased to 400 MW. The work to replace the turbine unit was started in the first quarter of 2001. The investments in the project amounted RUB127 million. During the project implementation, a turbine manufactured by OAO Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (LMZ) was installed. The start-up complex includes an automated process control system.
The commissioning of the turbine unit will increase the reliability of heat and electricity supply to consumers in Primorsky Kray and improve the key technical and economic performance indicators of Artemovskaya CHPP.
After the launch of the 115 MW turbine unit at Yuzhnokuzbasskaya TPP, the power plant's installed capacity increased to 556 MW. In the course of re-equipment, a turbine manufactured by OAO Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (LMZ) and a generator produced by OAO ELSIB were installed at the power plant. This helped to significantly improve the technical and economic efficiency of Yuzhnokuzbasskaya TPP. The project to replace the turbine unit was started in the second quarter of 2001. The investments in the project totalled RUB524 million.
