Moscow, 24 March 2008. Today, the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" voted to include the following items of business proposed by a shareholder to be considered at the Company's Annual General Meeting scheduled for 28 May 2008.

1. Approval of the Company's Annual Report;
2. Approval of the annual financial statements, including the income statement of the Company;
3. Approval of the Company's profit distribution for year 2007;
4. Determining the annual dividend amount, payment period, and form of payment of the dividend for 2007;
5. Election of members of the Board of Directors of the Company;
6. Election of members of the Auditing Commission of the Company;
7. Approval of the appointment of the Company Auditors.

The Board will approve the AGM agenda at its meeting to be held on 4 April 2008.

The Board of Directors also approved the following list of 18 candidates for the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" nominated by its shareholders:

Record date: the list of persons entitled under the laws of the Russian Federation to take part in the AGM will be made as at 15 April 2008.
