Moscow, 1 February 2007. Last night, repair crews of the electricity companies of RAO "UES of Russia" completed restoration works at two 220 kW transmission lines, Tsentralnaya-Dagomys and Tsenbtralnaya-Shepsi. This made it possible to energize these lines and synchronize the Sochi energy area with the UES of Russia.
The Sochinskaya TPP, which supplies electricity to most city consumers, is also operating without failures.
Last night the energy companies arranged for electricity to be supplied to Sochi from the neighbouring energy systems of Georgia through Abkhasia. Thus, power has been restored to all consumers in Sochi.
The repair crews of OAO "Kubanenergo" and the Southern Transmission Grids continue repair efforts at two 110 kV grids, which does not affect reliable electricity supply to the city.
