Moscow, 22 December 2006. RAO "UES of Russia" has been named the winner of the Best Employer in Russia National Awards.

The "Leaders of Russian Economy" Annual National Awards in the sphere of social responsibility, "Best Employer in Russia", are organized by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Coordination Council of the Russian Employers' Associations, International Business Support Foundation, and Rating Analytical Agency. The co-founders of the Awards are the major trade unions of Russia.

The event targets to incentivize Russian companies and organizations which have achieved significant success in such areas as workforce potential preservation and expansion, creation of new jobs, employment of young people, and ensuring and protecting employees' rights.

Winners of the "Best Employer in Russia" Awards are selected based on a special review by the Awards Expert Council, which includes the review of a company's financial and social reports.
