Moscow. 30 November 2006. RAO "UES of Russia" has been awarded a Medal and Diploma "For environmental policy, innovation approach to the creation of the regulatory framework and the infrastructure needed to implement an environmental management and environmental audit system". The Awards ceremony was held today as part of the International Exhibition and Congress "Energy Saving 2006".

During the event, the UES Energy Efficiency Center received a Diploma For Exposition Design and Information Content on Key Areas of RAO UES Activity.

The booths of RAO "UES of Russia" contained information on the priority lines of the Company's operations, the basic provisions of its environmental policy, and the technical policy concept statement.

Among the Exhibition participants were over 80 major scientific research centers and design and development entities from 20 regions across Russia and the CIS countries. The participants demonstrated their latest solutions in energy efficiency for the power supply, manufacturing, construction, and utilities sectors, as well as the secondary energy use and environment protection.
