General
Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of
Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy met with representatives of
the minority shareholder of both companies - Prosperity Capital
Management Limited.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of
operations of the companies in the first half of 2018 and plans for
2019, as well as issues related to the fulfillment by IDGC of Centre
of the functions of the sole executive body of IDGC of Centre and
Volga Region.
During the exchange of views, Igor Makovskiy said that within the
framework of the centralization of functions, operational and
situational management of the grid complex of the two companies was
merged. A corporate information system was created, based on a joint
resource of a common information complex. Particular attention is
paid to solving problems of improving the reliability and
uninterrupted power supply to customers, as well as reducing losses
in grids of the two companies.
“The centralization of management functions of IDGC of Centre
and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region allowed us to get significant
results in terms of reducing operating expenses, which in turn
contributed to a significant improvement in the financial and
economic condition of both companies,” stressed Head of the Company
Igor Makovskiy.
Also, Igor Makovskiy acquainted the representatives of the
minority shareholder with further plans for digitization of the
electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga
Region. All projects are implemented on the basis of the roadmap for
the implementation of the digital grid complex. In particular, a
digital substation is currently being constructed and 11 digital
substations are being designed using protocols of the IEC 61850
standard as part of the integration of the automated process control
system. Pilot projects of “Digital Distribution Zone” are being
prepared for implementation on the basis of Kalininsky Distribution
Zone of the branch “Tverenergo” of IDGC of Centre and Arzamassky
Distribution Zone of the branch “Nizhnovenergo” of IDGC of Centre
and Volga Region.
The meeting’s participants agreed that minority shareholders
will be informed and their views will be taken into account on the
implementation of the roadmap for digitalization of the grid complex
of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.
As a result, the parties came to the conclusion that the active
position of the minority shareholders and the constructive dialogue
that took place will contribute to further increasing the efficiency
of the companies.
Such meetings are held by the company’s management on a regular
basis and contribute to the establishment of trusting relationships
with minority shareholders, increasing their involvement in the
process of making key decisions by the General Meeting of
Shareholders. Such meetings will be held, both as part of the work of
the Board of Directors of the companies, and as a result of the work
of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region for the
reporting period.
