The purpose of IV Russian contest "Russian Company of High Social Effectiveness" is to draw attention to handling of social issues at companies and organisations, to demonstrate effectiveness of such activities with best companies' (the contest winners) example, to spread and encourage social experience country-wide.
The contest initiators are Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development; representatives of the interested executive authorities, russian trade unions and employer unions also took part in the contest.
Mr. Kruchinin, JSC Severstal General Director, took part in final awarding solemn ceremony of the contest. Upon welcoming of all participants, Mr. Kruchinin noted that personnel is a main value and strategic resource of our company - "Severstal progress is a result of mutual efforts of company's management and all employees. We understand that in business conditions of today, the only factor that can ensure company's competitive advantage is a human factor. This is the reason why we give much attention to training and development programs for the company's employees that will effect the future of Severstal", - noted JSC Severstal General Director.
Beside JSC Severstal, more than 600 industrial companies including iron and steel making companies took part in the contest.
This is already the third time when JSC Severstal has won the contest "Russian Company of High Social Effectiveness". In 2001 Severstal got a diploma in "Personnel qualification, training and retraining system" nomination in II Russian contest. In 2002 Severstal took the first rating in nomination "Implementation of social programs at companies and organisations" in III Russian contest.
