July 10, 2012, Ufa. -Indebtedness of legal entities to OJSC “Bashkrenergo” for heat and hot water exceeds RUB 1bln RUB. Since December 2011 powermen brought 164 suits on collection of indebtedness for total amount of RUB 1.6bln. The court examined 77 claims for the amount of RUB 465mln and sustained 72 of them for the amount RUB 463mln. Also 15 cases were dismissed due to voluntary recovery of debt by consumers. In total RUB 345mln arrived to the account of OJSC “Bashkirenergo”.

19 suits on amount of RUB 900 mln were brought with regard to main debtors – Ufa district housing authorities and 11 of them were sustained for the amount of RU 312mln. Debt was collected from housing authorities of Sovetskiy and Leninskiy districts of Ufa by enforcement (by order of procedure).

As explained by Dilyara Ulbariova, the Head of Legal Department of OJSC “Bashkirenergo”, powermen are interested in extrajudicial resolution of disputes with customers:

-At the same time, if judgment of the court came into effect it is obligatory for execution. In case of lack of an action from the side of defendant aimed at extrajudicial dispute resolution we have to apply enforcement.
