The newspaper Rossia of SISTEMA JSFC’ media division arranged a business trip by chiefs of Moscow and regional mass media to Bulgaria that took place from September 15 to September 22. The media tour was organized under the Moscow government’s program to support compatriots living abroad and was timed to the Russian-Bulgarian summit, the first one in recent years. The city’s leaders actively supported the idea of such a media tour and provided necessary funds.The Russian delegation included editors-in-chief of publications from all over Russia - from Moscow to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The newspaper Rossia was represented by its general director Sergei Kalmykov.

During the tour Russian journalists were received by Bulgaria’s president G. Pyrvanov, prime minister S. Saxoburgotsky, mayor of Sofia S. Sofiyansky and leaders ofthe country’s regions. There were also meetings with compatriots living in Bulgaria.
