Valery Okulov, Aeroflot - Russian Airlines Director General became the laureate of Person of the Year Grand Prix in Nomination for ‘Outstanding achievements in providing competitiveness of the company on the world market and high financial results’.

The awarding ceremony took place on February 24, 2005, in the Patriarshy Palace of the Moscow Kremlin where Valery Okulov was awarded with ‘Russia’s Glory’ Order.

Person of the Year’ is a person embodying a meaningful tendency of the country development that forms Russia’s future. Professor Leonid Roshal, Doctor of Medicine, who presented the Award, highly appreciated Aeroflot contribution and V. Okulov’s personal participation in carrying out social programs of carrying invalid children and hospital staff; he appealed to business to support Russian public health.

Valery Okulov is Aeroflot-Russian Airlines Director General since May 30, 1997. He is a member of the Company Board of Directors.

He was awarded with the 3d Degree Order ‘For Services to the Motherland’, medals ‘For Accident-free Flights’ and ‘Aeroflot Excellent Person’.
