A meeting of the Board of Directors of MMC Norilsk Nickel took place on February 4, 2003, at which it was agreed to include the following names in the list of candidates for election to the Board of Directors of the Company. The election will take place at the annual general shareholders' meeting, which is due to take place in June 2003:

- Andrei Yevgenevich Bugrov - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Interros holding company;

- Guy de Selliers - Member of the Fortis Group International Advisory Board;

- Timofei Vladimirovich Gridnev - Barrister (member of the Moscow City Bar). A partner in the Lvov Gridnev and Partners practice;

- Vladimir Ivanovich Dolgikh - Chairman of the Management Board of the Krasnoyarsk Friendly Society;

- Andrei Alexandrovich Klishas - General Director of the Interros holding company;

- Vladimir Sergeevich Lisin - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Novolipetskii Metallurgical Combine;

- Kirill Yurevich Parinov - Director of the Legal Department and member of the Management Board of the Interros holding company;

- Mikhail Dmitrievich Prokhorov - General Director of MMC Norilsk Nickel;

- Leonid Borisovich Rozhetskin - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of MMC Norilsk Nickel;

- Igor Apetovich Sagiryan - General Director of Renaissance Capital Financial Advisors;

- Igor Vladimirovich Tikhov - General Director of Krastsvetmet;

- Ronald Freeman - Honorary Co-Chairman of the International Tax and Investment Centre;

- Heinz Schimmelbusch - Managing Director of the Safeguard International Fund.
