April 3 2009, Moscow: COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading provider of integrated telecommunication services in Russia and the CIS, announces that the Board of Directors of STREAM TV, a member of COMSTAR-UTS, has approved Andrey Petrov as the company’s Deputy General Director and CTO. The appointment has been made by order of STREAM TV’s General Director.

STREAM TV has recently introduced this post according to new staffing pattern of the company. Subordinate departments of the CTO include Capital Construction, Operation & Development and IT.

Andrey Petrov was born in 1977 in Moscow. He graduated from faculty of Radio Communications and Broadcasting under Moscow Technical University of Communications and Computer Science. He started his career in Zond Holding as engineer and senior officer. In 2004-2005 he held a post of senior technical officer in Infotel. In 2005 he moved to Centre Telecom Service where he was Project Manager and later CTO. In 2009 Mr. Petrov joined STREAM TV as CTO.
