The branch of JSC “MOESK” - Southern Electric Grids has met the plan of nature protection actions for 2010.
The constant and purposeful work aimed to reduce pollution of the environment led to reduction of the amounts of the harmful substances discharged into the atmosphere (by 557 kg in comparison with 2009).
The analyses of water and air were carried out on a regular basis during supervision of observance of specifications for the contents of polluting substances in the atmospheric air and surface waters of industrial sites of the branch. The performed researches showed absence of pollution excesses.
The oil breakers were replaced by gas-insulated ones at the substations “Peredeltsy”, “Ryazanovo”, 8 oil receiving devices for oil breakers were repaired at the substation “Purlovo”, and 2 oil receiving devices for the transformers T-1 and Ò-2 were repaired at the substation “Kraskovo” within the framework of the enterprise’s ecological program.
The measures increasing the overall performance of purification plants of storm sewage systems and car washing plants were held in the Serpukhovsky and Domodedovsky Districts. The certificates of these objects were issued; the rules of maintenance service were developed, which will allow to support them at the level meeting modern requirements of the nature protection laws.
The ecology service of SEG prepared the exhibit and arranged the representative office of JSC “MOESK” at the international exhibition and congress “Water: ecology and technology” ECWATECH 2010. The presidium of the congress awarded the company the diploma for the work held in the field of reduction of negative influence on the environment, search for new solutions in ensuring ecological safety.
The branch “Southern Electric Grids” plans to carry out a large program in 2011, which will take up the further improvement of ecological conditions, introduction of new nature protection technologies, and increase in ecological efficiency of the actions held.
JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” considers the priority of introduction of the new technologies promoting reduction in pollution of land with petrol products, and modern methods and ways of waste disposal to be its strategic goals.
The ecological safety of electricity production and transmission becomes more and more vital now, when the quality of life is determined not only by cleanliness of the environment, but also full satisfaction of needs of a person by the amount and quality of electricity. Solution of nature protection tasks is one of the major lines of JSC “MOESK’s” activity.
