A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee and Oleg Chirkunov, Governor of the Perm Territory has taken place at Gazprom’s Headquarters.

The parties reviewed matters surrounding deeper bilateral cooperation, placing a focus on the preparation for signing an agreement on cooperation, gas supply to the Territory and Gazprom’s purchases of equipment from Perm-based manufacturers.

Alexey Miller and Oleg Chirkunov discussed measures aimed at clearing the Perm Territory’s arrears to Gazprom for the natural gas supplied.

Over 2005 Gazprom provided the Perm Territory with some 13 bcm of gas and roughly the same amount is slated for 2006.

Under its 2004-05 Program on gas supply to the RF constituents, Gazprom channeled some RUR 92.4 mln to construct gas facilities in the Perm Territory.

The natural gas infrastructure of the Perm Territory is developed by 60.1 per cent of maximum demand, including by 76 per cent in cities, towns and settlements and 12.6 per cent in rural area. The identical Russia-averaged parameters account for 53, 60 and 34 per cent, respectively.

In January this year the Territory’s gas debt grew RUR 246 mln to about RUR 400 mln as of 1 February 2006, with gas deliveries paid up at 88 per cent.

In 2005 the Perm Territory-based companies supplied Gazprom with 21 gas pumping units (GPU) and 19 gas turbine units (GTU), with 34 GPU and 34 GTU projected for this year. Gazprom also buys other types of equipment from Perm manufacturers.
