Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant (CZP, producer of SHG zinc (zinc content in metal not less than 99,995%) and zinc based alloys), its market share is over 60% of Russian and about 2% of global zinc production. 2009 has become one of the important landmarks in the Company development. CZP had to experience not only consequences of market instability and global financial crisis, but also change of owners. Autumn 2009 pool of several independent investors including such major domestic producers of non-ferrous metals as Ural Mining Metallurgical Company (UMMC) and Russian Copper Company (RCC) accomplished the acquisition of 100% shares of the Company NF Holdings B.V., controlling 58% shares of CZP. In the interview for the agency Andrey Panshin, the new General Director of CZP, told us of the further development strategy of one of the major zinc producers.
