Mass repairs are ongoing in the Ulyanovsk Grids branch of Rosseti Volga (a brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC).
In April, power engineers repaired 127 km of overhead lines of various voltage classes, 7 substations of 35–110 kV and 31 transformer step-down substations of 6–10/0.4 kV. Also, power engineers cleared more than 55 hectares of overhead lines. Prior to the start of mass repair work, the branch employees underwent a knowledge test, medical examination, and worked out safe methods for performing work in power plants.
During the current epidemiological situation, the power engineers are provided with the necessary antiseptic means and personal protective equipment, daily well-being is checked at the staff.
Particular attention is aimed at carrying out repair work, minimizing inconvenience for residents of the region, many of which are in conditions of self-isolation. In case of frequent and prolonged power outages associated with planned outages, the use of redundant power sources is provided, and in a situation where this is possible, a temporary change in the power supply schemes.
In 2020, it is planned to repair over 1,687 km of overhead lines with a voltage of 0.4–10 kV, about 995 km of high-voltage lines of 35–110 kV, 29 substations of 35-110 kV and 672 transformer step-down substations with a voltage of 6–10/0.4 kV in the Ulyanovsk Grids branch. In total, it is planned to spend 192.8 million rubles on the repair program of the branch. It is also planned to clear routes of 0.4–110 kV overhead lines with a total area of more than 519 hectares.
The repair program of the Ulyanovsk Grids branch is aimed at improving the reliability of the power grid complex in the Ulyanovsk region and will be implemented in a timely manner despite external factors.
