Yuri Zaitsev, Acting Head of Mari El, and Andrey Ryumin, Director General of Rosseti, discussed the prospects of developing the republic's energy infrastructure, tariff regulation and consolidation of grid assets, and the situation with payment discipline at a working meeting in Moscow.

"The level of development of the republic's integrated power grid must, first and foremost, meet the needs of the population and the goals set for socio-economic development. Rosseti has always demonstrated a responsible approach to business and a willingness to engage in an open dialogue. Today, we discussed a wide range of issues, focusing in detail on development projects and the topic of tariff regulation," said Yuri Zaitsev.

As Andrey Ryumin noted, Rosseti Group will invest more than 1.1 billion rubles in the modernization and construction of power grids in the region by the end of 2025. The planned volume of investments for the current year amounts to 413 million rubles.

"We are actively working in the republic, including in its capital Yoshkar-Ola, on projects related to power supply of residential areas, modernization of street lighting, construction of the trunk road, which will unload the central part of the city and increase the transport accessibility of new areas. A significant event in 2022 was the commissioning of a new substation in the central part of Mari El, which provided consumers with extra power," said Andrey Ryumin.

The 110 kV Novaya Lugovaya substation is located in the Sovetsky District of the republic. The capacity of the facility is 16 MVA. The new power center is tooled up with highly reliable equipment and modern automation tools. The construction is completed and the facility is put into operation.

Between 2022 and 2025, Rosseti Group plans to put into operation a total of 24 MVA of transformer capacity and more than 200 km of transmission lines in Mari El.
