AO MOSENERGO's Heating Grids Company started maintenance works in midMay. Before August 28, AO MOSENERGO will have tested and carried out maintenance on 2,358 km of heating lines, or the whole Moscow region heating grid. At present all works are performed strictly in accordance with a preset schedule. AO MOSENERGO specialists have already serviced 671 km of heating pipelines. At this stage, they found and eliminated 1,100 damaged parts.

In the course of the annual winter-season preparation of the capital's heating system AO MOSENERGO carries out mandatory testing of main heating lines. This is the reason for 3-week shut-offs of hot water in Moscow. During this period AO MOSENERGO specialists carry out temperature and pressure tests on heating pipes and replace damaged parts.

This summer, the company plans to replace 70 km of pipes with expired service lives. AO MOSENERGO will also lay 10.7 km of pipes insulated with polyurethane foam. Polyurethane extends the service life of pipes for up to 30 years. In addition, AO MOSENERGO will continue to install expansion bellows. The use of expansion bellows completely excludes leaks from pipelines.

Currently, AO MOSENERGO services 23 pump stations. They are expected to be tested after August 15.
