At a working meeting held today at Gazprom’s Headquarters, Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman and Ehud Olmert, Israel’s Vice Premier discussed the Russian-Israeli cooperation prospects in the gas industry.

The parties also considered possibilities of Gazprom’s interaction with a range of the leading Israeli high-tech companies, such as Gilat Satellite Networks, RAD Data Communications and Israeli Aircraft Industries.

A. Miller and E. Olmert stressed the significance of using the most sophisticated technologies at Gazprom’s gas transportation facilities, in particular, gas leakage monitoring technologies.

In order to obtain a more detailed information on the Israeli telecommunications companies’ potential, Gazprom’s expert professionals were invited to the largest Israeli telecommunications exhibition “Israel Telekom 2004”.
