IDGC Holding has started implementing the Concept for Renovation of Electric Grid Facilities to enhance the quality of electricity transmission services for distribution grids and reduce operating costs. The Company is interested in extending the range of potential partners that may participate in the implementation of renovation projects. The program for renovation of electric distribution grid facilities for the period ending 2020 is estimated at 2,850 trillion rubles.

Today, March 26, IDGC Holding has signed the Cooperation Agreement with Opten Group. The Agreement was signed by Nikolay Shvets, IDGC Holding Director General and Boris Mekhanoshin, Chairman of the Opten Board of Directors.

At the signing ceremony, it was mentioned that IDGC Holding was interested in applying Opten innovative technologies for its subsidiaries' distribution grid facilities. Specifically, IDGC Holding may make use of Opten's design experience in overhead transmission lines (OTL) and fiber-optic communication lines on overhead lines.
