A closing ceremony of the Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation’s Arts Festival took place today in the culture Palace of the CNPC Pipeline Company, Langfang (People’s Republic of China).
Participating in the ceremony were Mikhail Sereda, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee – Head of the Gazprom Management Committee Administration, Zhang Xin, Director General of the International Department as well as talent groups of CNPC and Gazprom’s subsidiaries.
“Conducting a joint Arts Festival makes a contribution meant to secure and deepen traditions established in multinational cultures of Russian and Chinese peoples, to foster a high corporate culture. Performances of our companies’ talent groups were accepted with admiration in all cities and towns hosting the Festival. Today we are having a final concert. I am convinced that it will be a real celebration of creative work,” said Mikhail Sereda in his ceremonial speech.
“I am pleased to note that the Arts Festival has expanded its scope and grown in quantity and quality. CNPC highly evaluates the cultural exchange between our companies, which is conducive to developing joint business projects as well as strengthening mutual understanding and friendship,” pointed out Zhang Xin.

The Gazprom and CNPC’s Arts Festival took place in the Chinese cities of Xian, Dalian and Langfang on April 20 – 29, 2008.
The festival brought together over 50 winners of the Fakel Corporate Festival, representatives of the Gazprom (Gazprom transgaz Surgut, Gazprom dobycha Urengoy and Gazprom dobycha Orenburg) and the CNPC subsidiaries (the Changquing Petroleum Exploration Bureau, the Dalian Petrochemical Company and the CNPC Pipeline Company).
The joint concert of the companies’ talent groups was first held in April 2007 in China. The winners of the Fakel Corporate Festival gave a successful performance in Beijing and Langfang while the CNPC talent group took part in the Fakel Corporate Festival held in Gelendzhik.
