High performance reliability and stability are obtained by using technology of reservation of all its elements - from cables to switchboards. In case of line breakdown the connection is restored automatically within less than 50 hundredth second.

"Rostovelectrosvyaz" supports its customers with different technical services such as 24-hour consultations over the telephone and the equipment adjustment (set-up) at the customer's site.

At present 7 switchboards operate in the ATM-ring. They provide ADSL-based access to high-speed Internet for subscribers of automatic telephone exchanges 40, 32, 34, 45, 74, 33, 35, 52, 54, 587, 51 and 53. Another 6 switchboards are to be put into operation by the second half year, thus the number of high-speed Internet access hubs reaching 12. By the end of 2003 such switchboards are to be installed in all city automatic telephone exchanges and one will be able to connect through ADSL from any telephone set in any part of the city. The channel speed can be adjusted from 128 Kbit to 8 Mbit by steps of 64 Kbit ( speed of incoming traffic up to 8 Mbit is taken into consideration, because ADSL is an asymmetric technology; speed of outgoing traffic is up to 1 Mbit).
