On May 8th in all production branches of TGC-9, located on the territory of Komi Republic, took place solemn arrangements, devoted to celebration in honour of veterans of the Great Patriotic War of the years 1941 – 1945

Heads of TGC-9 branches in Komi Republic addressed warm and tender congratulations with Victory Day to 150 war veterans, workers of home front and participants of military operations. This holiday will always remain in memory of all Russian people as a symbol of national pride and greatness of spirit of our Motherland. Representatives of trade unions congratulated veterans, too. They paid tribute to veterans who had undergone many severe trials and wished them health, cheerfulness and peaceful sky over their heads.

During the holiday dinner veterans remembered the battles and their deceased friends. They also recollected time after war, when they had to raise and revive the economy from ruins and power engineering of the republic in particular.

For information: totally in branches of TGC-9, located on the territory of Komi Republic, there are 28 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 82 workers of home front, there also lives a citizen of Leningrad during the blockade, a concentration camp prisoner and 38 participants of military operations. During the years of the Great Patriotic War 170 thousand people were drafted to the front from Komi Republic.
