Gazprom’s Headquarters has hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee and Eivind Reiten, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro. The meeting was held within the final stage of the talks between Gazprom and the companies included in the short-list of bidders for the first phase of the Shtokman project.

The parties discussed existing bids for the project. The bidders have a chance to present better packages until the end of this week.

Gazprom has compiled a short-list of the companies – potential partners in the first stage of the Shtokman gas condensate field development project, which covers the construction of a natural gas liquefaction plant. The selected bidders include Statoil (Norway), Total (France), Chevron (USA), Hydro (Norway) and ConocoPhillips (USA). The talks will result in Gazprom identifying two or three companies that will form a Consortium for the Shtokman project implementation.
