Joint Stock Financial Corporation Sistema has been accorded the status of Official Sponsor of Tercentenary Celebrations in St. Petersburg. Funds provided by the holding company and its subsidiaries will go to put on a series of cultural functions in St. Petersburg, opera, ballet and concert programs will be held at the celebrated Mariinsky Theater; concerts by famous soloists and symphony orchestras performed in the Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg (Shostakovich) Philharmonic; religious music played in local cathedrals-turned-museums, including St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the Saints Peter and Paul Fortress, and the Smolny and St. Sampson’s cathedrals. Festive programs tailored for young children and teens are to be performed on the stages of the Northern Metropolis’s finest concert halls.
