On November 10, Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc played host to a solemn ceremony of laying a capsule with an address to future generations in the foundation base of the Motor Gasoline Plant to be built by request of “TAIF” JSC. The ceremony was attended by Mintimer Shaimiyev , Co-Chairman of the “United Russia” Party, Ilsur Metshin , Head of the Administration of Nizhnekamsk city and Nizhnekamsk region, Vladimir Busygin , General Director of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc, Albert Shigabutdinov , General Director of “TAIF” JSC, and other top executives of major companies and organizations of Tatarstan.

Addressing all those gathered for the event, M. Shaimiyev said that all the projects being devised at Nizhnekamsk proved to be fast paying back and designed for effective growth of petrochemical products output.

Total project costs amount to USD 76 MM. It will be implemented within two years. A Gasoline Plant is another step towards deeper reprocessing of feedstock. The project provides for reprocessing over 850 000 tons of vacuum gasoil, produced at Nizhnekamsk Refinery, and for producing about half a million tons of high quality gasoline a year, as well as diesel oil – over 100 000 tons a year, and propane-butane fraction to be used by Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc as feedstock to produce polymers. According to A. Shigabutdinov , a new plant would yield profit of USD 55 MM a year and pay back in less than two years.
