OJSC FETEC places SI-2000 digital automatic exchange in operation in Lesozavodsk dated December 16, 2003. Capacity of the new automatic exchange makes up 4352 numbers. It will replace an old ten-step telephone exchange having capacity of 3800 numbers.

The new digital exchange implementation will extend subscriber network of city telecommunication. At present 3800 sets are installed in Lesozavodsk. The new exchange will allow providing about 600 Lesozavodsk people with telephone numbers.

The grand opening of the new exchange will be held by OJSC FETEC Director General Igor Zabolotny, OJSC FETEC Primorsky branch director Nikolay Maksimenka and head of Lesozavodsk and Lesozavodsk district administration Nikolay Vorobiev.

SI 2000 exchange is modern digital exchange characterized by high operating speed, subscriber connection speed increase, communication quality improvement and subscriber’s extra services range expansion.

Now Lesozavodsk people can use such services as automatic dialing, alarm clock function, and readdressing (telephone call may be readdressed to another number on the basis of subscriber’s application).
