Moscow, 2 April. – On the night from 31 March to 1 April 2003, the operational dispatching functions of the Unified Energy System of Russia have been transferred from the regional energos' Regional Dispatch Authorities (RDAs) to the RDAs that are branches of OAO "UES SO-CDA".
The transfer was effected within the restructuring of the operational dispatch authority of the UES of Russia. New branches of the System Operator (SO) have been established in the Republic of Khakassia, Republic of Karelia, Chuvash Republic, Krasnodar Kray, Amurskaya Region, Orenburg Region, Tyumen Region, Penza Region, Kursk Region, and Tver Region. As of 1 April 2003, the number of branches of OAO "UES SO-CDA" reached 20.
At the time of the transfer, deeds of "Transfer of the functions of operational dispatching of the regional energy systems from regional energos to branches of OAO "UES SO-CDA" (RDAs)" were signed, and the first entries were made on the operating logs of the corresponding RDAs that are branches of the System Operator.
OAO "System Operator – Central Dispatch Authority of the UES of Russia" ("UES SO-CDA") was established in 2001 within the restructuring of Russia's electricity industry. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RAO "UES of Russia". The Chairman of the Board of Directors of OAO "UES SO-CDA" is Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government V. Khristenko; the Chairman of the Management Board is V. Pauli, member of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia".
