Yekaterinburg. On July, 5 the first part of the meeting in the “Young Engineer” Club was held in the heating main. The experts of the Sverdlov heat networks – the branch of OJSC TGC-9 introduced the members of the “Young Engineer” Club to the operating activity during the repair campaign. The Technical Director of OJSC TGC-9 Production Direction of Sverdlovsk Region Leonid Solovyev told the members of the Club what pressure testings were, what they were required for and how they were being carried out. Young power men observed the repair works and got the answers to all their questions. The event was held at the gust site of one of the oldest pipelines: power engineers commented upon their work, showed how the given imperfection is removed. Moreover, the guys were introduced to the ancient pottery kept up by the skilled craftsmen of a village of Tavolga - they learnt the unique recipe of clay, the process of ceramics making and even tried to make their own masterpieces by means of the potter’s wheel.

One more interesting moment: two “young power men” were heartily congratulated on the graduating from the USTU- UPI. The nominal collages made up of memorable photos of the most interesting moments of the Club’s meetings turned out to be a wonderful present. The guys assert that the studies in the Club significantly moved them to study better. Owing to the meetings the students had a chance to attend the operating energy sites and be consulted by the best specialists of TGC-9 Branches.

For reference: the “Young Engineer” has been working for 5 years. The meetings are held on a monthly basis. For this time the children got to know almost all the power sites of Sverdlovsk Region: Kachkanarsk, Artemovsk, Krasnogorsk, Novosverdlovsk, Pervouralsk CHPP, Reftinsk, Nizhneturinsk, Sredneuralsk SDPP, Verchotursk HPP.
