Moscow. 9 July 2007. Today, Valeriu Pasat, Advisor to the Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia", former Minister of Defence of Moldova, well-known historian specializing in Stalin's repressions in the 1930-40s, has been released in the court room in Chisinau.

After more than two years in solitary confinement, now he is free and safe.

Mr. Pasat has arrived in Moscow today. After he medical rehabilitation, he expects to return to work at RAO "UES of Russia".

RAO "UES of Russia" would like to appreciate the help of all people who contributed to Mr. Pasat's release from prison.
