On the 5th of April 2007 the First vice-president of the Government Dmitry Medvedev held a videoconference with the best innovation schools of Russia in the framework of the federal Education program.

UTK provided connection to the videoconference of the Zhukov secondary school of the Kalmykia Republic, which represented the Southern federal district.

This school is among other 30 schools of the Republic, which have been connected by "UTK" PJSC to broadband Internet within the framework of the federal Education program.

Within the framework of the state project «Provision of the Internet access to educational institutions of the Russian Federation», the Kalmykia branch of "UTK" PJSC plans to connect 146 more schools of the Republic to the Internet in 2007, thus providing full access to various educational resources to schoolchildren and their teachers.
