During the first four months of 2003, oil production in OJSC “Surgutneftegas” reached 17 mln. 217.8 thousand tons, which is a 1 mln. 661.8 thousand tons (10,7%) increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

Gas production amounted to 4,678 mln. cubic meters against 4,316 mln. cubic meters produced over the same period of 2002 (an 8% increase).

Drilling totaled 980.6 thousand meters against 918.4 thousand meters drilled during the same period of the previous year. Exploratory drilling amounted to 82.9 thousand meters.

The Company commissioned 293 new wells (285 wells in the same period of the previous year).
