Rostelecom’s delegation is taking part in the 5^th International Turkey, Caspian and Black Sea Telecoms Conference (11 – 13 April, 2006, Istanbul).

Caspian Telecoms Conference is a well-known annual event for Turkey, Caspian region, CIS and Central Asia. At this year conference, it was Rostelecom’s Commercial Director Olga Rumyantseva who made a report presenting the Company’s plans and opportunities to enhance international cooperation and expand the range of service offerings including transit capacity provision.

During the Conference there are to be a number of country and industry round-tables and seminars - satellite and broadband, wireless and cellular in the Caspian region and the CIS.

Over 500 delegates from 50 countries worldwide are focusing on regulatory, standardization and licensing issues in the telecoms sector, new re-build infrastructure opportunities in the Caspian region countries and Afghanistan, privatization and liberalization of telecoms markets in Turkey, Caspian and Black Sea regions.
