Ahead of Autumn-Winter Period, Accident Rate in Power Grids of the Northwestern Federal District Reduced by Almost 13%

This year, Rosseti allocated 8.3 billion rubles for maintenance and repair works in the District.

Preparation for the autumn-winter period in the Northwestern Federal District was discussed in Vorkuta under the guidance of Evgeny Grabchak, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation. Andrey Mayorov, First Deputy Director General and Chief Engineer of Rosseti, reported on operational results and the progress of the repair campaign.

From January to July, the accident rate in the main grid systems was reduced by 8%, in the distribution systems — by 13%. Rosseti Lenenergo , a company operating in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, took the lead by reaching a 32% reduction. The duration and rate of consumer outages (SAIDI and SAIFI indices) have been reduced by 34% and 35%, respectively.

In general, in the Northwest:

·       The plan was fulfilled by 72%; the activities are progressing ahead of schedule;

·       183 mobile power supply sources have been prepared (31.6 MW in total);

·       The emergency stock has been completed.

The development of infrastructure facilities is underway: 2,549 MVA of transformer capacity and 3,214 km of new power lines will have been commissioned by the end of the year. The priority projects include the construction of substations Murmanskaya, 330 kV (to provide power supply to the Murmansk transport hub), and Balaton 35 kV (a new facility for the Nord Stream 2).

Rosseti operates in the territory of all 11 regions of the Northwestern Federal District. Rossetti FGC UES, Rosseti Lenenergo, Rosseti Northwest, and Rosseti Yantar are servicing 93 substations with a capacity of at least 220 kV, 1,657 substations with a capacity of 35–110 kV, and 66,463 transformer substations. The total capacity of power centers is 103,400 ÌVÀ; the length of power lines is 275,400 km. The headcount of operational staff is 23.4 thousand people in 1,361 teams; the special equipment fleet includes 7.2 thousand units.
