Republic of Karelia, in the meeting, was represented by the first deputy head of the Republic of Karelia Yuri Kancher and chief engineer of the branch of the IDGC North-West «Karelenergo” Nikolai Shibaev.
On April 8, Presidential authorized representative in the Northwest Region Ilya Klebanov and Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko held a joint video conference on measures to decrease the growth of prices for electricity.

Commenting the meeting, the chief engineer of «Karelenergo” Nikolai Shibaev noted that it was a frank and substantive discussion. Issues raised at the meeting, require the joint work of federal and regional authorities as well as regional organizations of «Holding IDGC " and OJSC "UES FGC".
