MOSCOW, 28 May 2003 – 7 years ago, on May 28, 1996, first bottles with Tolstiak – Dobroye beer were produced by the Saransk brewery. And today, while celebrating Tolstiak birthday, the company is happy to announce that sales of one of its leading brands, Tolstiak, grew by 46% in the first quarter of 2003 as compared to the first quarter of 2002. Total production and sales volumes during all the time of its existence increased almost 65 times!

At present, SUN Interbrew that incorporates the brewery in Saransk, produces four varieties of Tolstiak – Dobroye, Svetloye, Zaboristoye, and Krepkoye. Tolstiak is brewed at 7 company’s breweries. Since last year, besides traditional glass bottles, Tolstiak is bottled into cans and PET, which accounts for over 70% of all Tolstiak volumes.
