ROSSETI

October 3, 2020

Aleksandr Novak, Minister of Energy, Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, and Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, discussed the power reserve in the Sochi Power Center

To ensure peak loads during the 2014 Olympics, grid facilities were put into operation, which ensured high-quality and reliable power supply and that are covering now the demand for power in the territories of the Imereti Lowlands and Krasnaya Polyana. The total installed capacity of the Sochi energy system has exceeded 1,200 MW.

The reserve created is especially important given the load growth dynamics. If the maximum energy consumption during the Olympics was 640 MW, and it reached 720 MW in 2018. The facilities built by the Rosseti Group allowed for the timely satisfaction of the needs of the Region and will further contribute to its economic and social development as well as the reliability of energy supply in general.

Today, the Company is working on resolving the remaining bottleneck issues. Thus, Rosseti has planned the overhaul of three feeding centers: the Adler substation, 110 kV, the Kudepsta substation, 110 kV, and the Pasechnaya substation, 110 kV. Their total transformer capacity will increase by 85%. Infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, and the social facilities consumers will be provided with additional power capacities.

In general, the financing of the Rosseti Kuban investment program throughout the service area will amount to 5.3 billion rubles in 2020. It is planned to put into operation 150 MVA of transformer capacity and 450 km of power lines.

Construction of Angarskaya, 110 kV, the first digital substation in Krasnodar, will be completed by the end of the year. This power facility with a capacity of 50 MVA will improve the quality of power supply to the northeast of the capital of Kuban. One of the key consumers is the Territorial Clinical Hospital No. 1.
