The Board of Directors of OJSC United Petrochemical Company (UPC), a wholly owned subsidiary of JSOC Bashneft, has appointed Kirill Tyurdenev President of the company. Yakov Goldovsky, who had occupied this position, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of UPC.
Prior to his appointment as President of United Petrochemical Company, starting from April 2012, Kirill Tyurdenev was the Executive Vice-President of OJSC JSFC Sistema, overseeing investments in the petrochemical sector, and a member of OJSC JSFC Sistema’s Management Board. From 2007 through 2012, Mr. Tyurdenev was the Deputy General Director for Strategy and Corporate Development at OJSC SIBUR — Fertilizers. Earlier, from 1999 through 2004, he worked for A. T. Kearney and Unilever, and starting from 2004, he held a position in McKinsey & Co.
Kirill Tyurdenev has the degrees of Bachelor of International Affairs and Master of International Law of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), and the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M) of the University of Manchester. He completed executive education programmes at INSEAD and London Business School. Mr. Tyurdenev is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
