Within the framework of preparation for the autumn and winter period of 2011/2012, Moscow Cable Grids – the branch of JSC “MOESK” continues to implement the repair program successfully. Compliance with the repairs in time and providing due quality is one of major factors of ensuring reliability of electric grids operation. Based on the results of work for the first quarter of 2011, Moscow Cable Grids have carried out repairs of 283 transformer and distribution substations against the target of 269 pieces. The total length of repaired cable lines has been 19.2 km. Comprehensive repairs of overhead power lines of 6.27 km was carried out against the target of 4.1 km. 56 PL supports of 0.4-10 kV in voltage and 36 transformers have been repaired. Almost RUR 271 million have been spent in total for three months of 2011 on implementation of the repair campaign, including RUR 261.5 million have been spent on the works performed using own resources, without involving contracting organizations. JSC “MOESK” pays special attention to performance of the repair program and assigns the money in the amount as large as possible for its financing. Moscow Cable Grids is the branch of Joint-Stock Company “Moscow United Electric Grid Company”. The main kinds of activity are provision of services of transportation of electricity to consumers and technological connection to electric grids. The branch Moscow Cable Grids operate the electric grids of 0.4-20 kV and 35 kV of 69,426 km in total length and 17,243 distribution and transformer substations, which transmit electricity to inhabited and public buildings, municipal facilities, electrified transport, industrial enterprises all over Moscow: from Kremlin to Kurkino and Butovo, including Zelenograd and Shcherbinka. The total number of the personnel of the branch is 5,142 people.
